This policy explains what Memo's Taco Shop - Independence, MO ("we", "us") collects when you order on this website, why, and the choices you have. This website is run for us by our online ordering provider.
What we collect
What you give us. Your name, phone number and email address; what you order and when you'll pick it up; any note you add; and which of the two boxes for msgs you tick: text updates about your order, and Memo's Taco Shop Rewards.
Your card. You type your card details into fields provided by our payment processor, and they go straight to it. We never see or store your full card number.
When you tick either box for msgs, we also record when you ticked it, your IP address, and the exact wording you agreed to, so we can show how and when you agreed.
How you use this website. We record which steps of ordering you reach and any errors the website runs into, along with basic device information: your browser, device type and IP address. We may also record your visits to the ordering pages — taps, scrolling and page changes — to find what's confusing or broken. Anything you type is hidden in these recordings, and so are your name and note where the page shows them back to you. Card fields are never recorded.
On your device. Your cart, and your name, phone number and email, are saved in your browser on this device so your next order is filled in for you. They stay on your device. When you type your phone number at checkout, we check whether it belongs to a Memo's Taco Shop Rewards member, so we can show your card. Clearing this website's data in your browser removes them.
Cookies. Our analytics provider uses a cookie and similar browser storage to tell visits apart, and our payment processor uses cookies to help prevent fraud. We also set cookies that remember, on your device, whether you have ordered before, how you arrived — including, when you tap a link in one of our Rewards texts, which text it was — and whether you asked not to be counted. We don't use advertising cookies.
How we use it
- To make your order, take payment, and have it ready for you
- To send your confirmation and order updates by email, and by text if you ticked the box for text updates
- To answer your questions and handle refunds
- To keep the records that tax and accounting law require
- To find and fix problems with ordering
- To text you Rewards offers, only if you joined Memo's Taco Shop Rewards
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With companies that run this website for us: our online ordering provider, payment processor, email and text-message providers, hosting and database providers, and analytics and error-monitoring providers. They use it only to provide their services to us.
- With our other locations, if Memo's Taco Shop - Independence, MO has any, because they use one ordering system.
- When the law requires it, or to prevent fraud.
- With a new owner, if the restaurant's business is sold or transferred.
None of this includes your text-message consent. Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in consent are not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Your text-message opt-in and consent are never shared with any third party.
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Messages
Your confirmation and order updates by email are part of your order, and they are sent whether or not you tick either box for msgs. Text updates about your order are sent by Antojo.ai, the online ordering platform that runs this website, for Memo's Taco Shop - Independence, MO, only if you ticked the box for them, from one number Antojo.ai uses for every restaurant it serves; each ends "Powered by Antojo.ai". Reply STOP to that number to stop order msgs to your phone from every restaurant on Antojo.ai, START to get them again, or HELP for help. Rewards msgs are sent by Memo's Taco Shop - Independence, MO from its own number, only if you joined Memo's Taco Shop Rewards. To leave Rewards, reply STOP to any Rewards text, or contact us at (816) 955-8285. Your order msgs are not affected.
Rewards
How you join. You join Memo's Taco Shop Rewards only if you choose to: by ticking the box at checkout; by texting JOIN to our Rewards number and replying Y to confirm; by replying JOIN to a text our cashier sends at your request; or by replying JOIN to a one-time invitation sent to people who signed up at checkout before. Message and data rates may apply.
What Rewards keeps. Your phone number, your punches and rewards, and, if you save it on your card page, your birthday's month and day, never the year, so we can send you a birthday gift. We also keep a record of each Rewards text we send you, and a history of each time you joined, confirmed or left, with when and how.
Links in our texts. Each link in a Rewards text is that text's own. When you tap it, we record the tap, and if you order from that browser within 10 days, we credit the order to that text.
Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. If you add your card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, Apple or Google keeps the pass — your name and the last four digits of your phone — on your phone, and Google also on its servers.

How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as tax law requires; contact details are kept until you ask us to delete them. Session recordings are deleted automatically after a set period. The record of each Rewards text we send you is kept for 13 months, then rolled into monthly totals. The history of your consent to Rewards texts is kept until you ask us to delete your details.
Deleting your details
Contact us at (816) 955-8285 and ask us to delete your contact details. We'll remove your name, phone number and email address from our records, including from your past orders. We keep the rest of each order — what was ordered, what was paid, and the tax — because tax law requires it. Our payment processor keeps its own records of card payments, as financial regulations require.
A request to delete your details also removes everything Rewards keeps about you: your card, your punches and rewards, your birthday, the record of the texts we sent you and its monthly totals, the history of your consent, and your taps on links in our texts. Totals that count no one person stay.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and your card details never pass through our systems. No website can be perfectly secure.
Children
This website isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
